Foreclosure Information


Overview

Any application involving a foreclosure must contain a separate statement from the moving party affixed to the front of the application that the action does or does not fit the criteria for inclusion in the residential foreclosure program.

Judicial foreclosure auctions are held in Bronx Supreme Court on Mondays at 2:00 PM in Room 600 at the Bronx County Courthouse.

These auctions apply to the sale of real property. They do not include the sale of co-operative apartments.

The Court does not provide lists of properties up for sale.

Notices of Sale on foreclosed properties shall be served on the Ex-Parte Office at least ten (10) days prior to the scheduled date.

 

Settlement Conferences

Settlement Conferences for the Residential Mortgage Foreclosure Part are held on Tuesdays thru Fridays at 10:00 AM in Room 607 of the Bronx County Courthouse unless notice otherwise indicates.

Conferences are scheduled for those eligible pursuant to legislation signed by Governor Patterson in August 2008 and further amended in December 2009.

Please note that Orders of Reference in Bronx Supreme Court get stamped with the following language: “Pursuant to CPLR 8003(a) and in the discretion of the court, a fee of $250.00 shall be paid to the Referee upon the filing of his report, and in accordance with CPLR 8003 (b), the statutory fee shall be paid to the Referee at the time of the foreclosure sale.”
