Remember, only the Supreme Court can give you a divorce in New York State. Please use the resources available on this website if you need help finding a lawyer or completing your divorce papers by using the court's free divorce forms and instructions.

If your case is not yet in court, or if you have parenting or economic issues to resolve with your spouse during your divorce and you want to do it outside of court, you may condsider forms of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) such as mediation or collaborative divorce to help reduce the emotional and financial stress of divorce for you and your children.
