Judge Eugene Oliver, Jr.

Judge OliverEugene Oliver, Jr., Deputy Administrative Judge of the Criminal Division Bronx Supreme Court, was born in New York City on September 13, 1947. Currently a proud Bronx resident, he has served as Supervising Judge to Bronx Criminal Court, and New York County Criminal Court.
He was appointed to the bench in August 1990, by the Hon. David Dinkins. He sat in the Criminal Court until February 1994, when he was then elevated to Acting Supreme Court Judge in Bronx Supreme Court.

B.A. Middlebury College, Vermont, 1970. J.D. Fordham University School of Law 1977,
Admitted to the New York State Bar, 1978.

Eugene Oliver, Jr., is a former Company Commander of the United States Army Reserves, and also established himself as an Executive Assistant District Attorney with the Bronx District Attorney's Office. He is a founding member of the Black Bar Association of Bronx County.

His additional interests include the First Department 18b Screening Panel Committee; The Eastside House Settlement; The New York Urban League; The Bronx YMCA; Middlebury College Board of Trustees; The Judicial Friends; The Bronx County Bar Association; The Puerto Rican Bar Association; The New York State Bar Association.

He is married to Hope Oliver, who works as an Administrator at Metropolitan Hospital, they have two children and four grandchildren.
