Accredited Provider News
Updated April 2, 2008

Welcome to the AP news page. The information on this page is specifically directed only to those who have been granted New York State CLE Accredited Provider status.

  • Changes to Program Rules and Regulations: Effective January 1, 2008, the Program Rules and the Regulations require that the faculty of every accredited program include at least one attorney in good standing, who must actively participate in the program. For information on this and other changes, see Highlights of Recent Changes to the Regulations, Joint Order of the Appellate Divisions and Addendum to FAQs.
  • Certificate of Attendance revised January 1, 2008: All providers of courses accredited by the New York State CLE Board are required to use the revised certificate.
  • Information session, open to current New York State CLE Accredited Providers ONLY, will be held:

    Tuesday, April 8, 2008

    10:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon
    25 Beaver Steet, Room 1161
    New York, New York 10004

A member of the CLE staff will make a short presentation on the CLE Rules and Regulations as they affect New York Accredited Providers, and will then be available to answer questions. Please e-mail us at CLENYAP@courts.state.ny.us to reserve a space, as seating is limited.
  • As requested by many providers, Professor Michael Hunter Schwartz has provided access to his PowerPoint presentation from the October 19, 2006 Accredited Provider conference:

Maximizing Learning in a Multi-Generational Setting

When you reach the site, please scroll down to the list of “presentations” to find the direct link to “Maximizing Learning in a Multi-Generational Setting.” (To view and hear the video clips, run the slide show in PowerPoint. If you use Corel Presentations, you will be able to view the slide show but the video clips will not work.)
  • An e-mailbox has been created for use only by current New York State CLE Accredited Providers*:

    CLENYAP@courts.state.ny.us

    * Any individual or organization that has not been granted New York State CLE Accredited Provider status should use the general CLE mailbox, CLE@courts.state.ny.us.
