It is the mission of the Supreme Court of Queens County to provide a forum in which the law can be applied to achieve the equitable and just resolution of major civil disputes, matrimonial matters, and serious criminal charges arising in our county.

In pursuing that goal, we make every effort to forge lines of communication between our court and the community it serves, to educate our citizens, young and old, about how their legal system works, to make our court operations more efficient and user-friendly, to enhance access to justice by offering legal services to the poor and assistance to the self-represented, to eliminate all vestiges of bias and discrimination from our legal system, and to encourage diversity so that the people who work in our court reflect the communities that use it.
