The primary responsibility of the Trial Support Office is to staff, maintain, and oversee the civil term trial parts. This office serves as a training resource center for trial term clerks and also serves as a liaison between clerks, judges, and other court managers.

In addition, it is their responsibility to ensure, when possible, that cases follow the guidelines set forth in the Comprehensive Civil Justice Program as well as the local Kings County Judges Rules.

Note: This department also manages all matters involving lawsuits against the City of New York.
