About the Courts  

Welcome to the Kings County Supreme Court - Criminal Term website. The courthouse, which opened in July 2005, is located at 320 Jay Street in downtown Brooklyn, next to the Marriott Hotel and two blocks from the Civic Center. Its regular hours of operation are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, although it remains open until all court business is concluded at the end of each day.

In addition to prosecuting felony cases and operating its specialty courts, the court participates in the Court Tours and Community Outreach Program. This program was developed to familiarize students, senior citizens and civic organizations with the dynamics of the courts of New York State.

As a member of the Brooklyn community, the court aims to provide courteous and professional service to its fellow citizens and to maintain a courthouse that reflects the dignity and respect the law deserves.
