Offered: Throughout the calendar year

Applicant: All School and Community groups

Conditions: Tour Director Leads groups around the Brooklyn courthouse to give an inside perspective of the court system. The tour begins with a lecture given by the tour director which provides an overview of the structure of the courts as well as an outline of some basic concepts of law. Other presentations can be made at the teacher's/organizer's request. All efforts are made to observe a real trial in action.

Speaker's Bureau Program

Offered: Throughout the calendar year

Applicant: All School and Community groups

Conditions: Court personnel participate at your event as speakers or presenters. Speakers and presenters are also available for Career Fairs. Additional and specific presentations can be made at the teacher's/organizer's request.

Court Career Day

Offered: Traditional held in May

Applicant: Junior and Senior High School students and College level students

Conditions: Educational and fun-filled half-day program designed to introduce students to careers in the New York State Unified Court System. Activities include: visiting career tables, observing a real trial, taking a court tour that includes holding pens and a confiscated weapons display, participating in a simulated crime scenario and jury selection.

Requisites: Send a letter, email or fax stating your interest in attending Career Day. Complete the Online Pre-Registration from and return it to the court. All registrants will receive written confirmation of their attendance.
