| WELCOME: We welcome
you to the Greene County jury system. Jury service is a duty,
a privilege, and a right guaranteed by the Constitutions of
the United States and the State of New York.
The Commissioner of Jurors in each county is responsible for
providing State Supreme, County, Surrogate and various cities,
towns and village Justice Courts with qualified jurors and the
management of a variety of functions related to discharging
this responsibility.
As an eligible citizen, you have an opportunity and obligation
to serve. You should assume the role with responsibility and
pride.
We recognize that jury service can be a burden, but we will
work within court guidelines to accommodate your needs. Our
goal is to make your jury service a rewarding and fulfilling
experience.
