WELCOME: We welcome you to the Rensselaer County jury system. Jury service is a duty, a privilege, and a right guaranteed by the Constitutions of the United States and the State of New York.

The Commissioner of Jurors in each county is responsible for providing State Supreme, County, Surrogate and various cities, towns and village Justice Courts with qualified jurors and the management of a variety of functions related to discharging this responsibility.

We recognize jury service can be burdensome, as it may interrupt your personal and business lives. Please be assured that we will work within the limits of the law to accommodate varying needs. Our goal is to make your service as a juror a rewarding and a memorable experience.
