| Case Scheduling and Motion Practice |
St. Lawrence County Court
Hon. Jerome J. Richards, Judge
- Grand Jury Reports may be filed on any Monday
at 9:00 a.m., or on the following business day if Monday is
a holiday.
- Criminal arraignments on filed indictments
will be scheduled as directed by the court.
- Criminal pleas may be scheduled through the
Clerk of Supreme & County Courts. Please contact that
office at (315) 379-2219.
- File motion papers and appeals with the court
clerks, not with the Judge's Chambers, unless otherwise instructed
in a particular case.
- Civil motion return dates may be selected
by the moving party for submission on papers only, on any Monday
at 9:30 a.m. on CPLR notice. Oral argument of motions is by
permission of the Judge, on written application, on notice
to all other interested parties. Requests for oral argument
should clearly appear on the moving papers, as provided in
the Part 202 rules. Please be sure that the chosen return date
is not a legal holiday.
- Trial scheduling will be set by the Judge.
