The NYS Supreme Court is more than 300 years old, with
its history dating back to 1691. The Court has general original jurisdiction
and holds trial terms in all counties. Warren County terms were held
at the Old Warren County Courthouse at Lake George Village until construction
of the Municipal Center. Chambers of Supreme Court were located in
the past at Glens Falls, until permanent chambers were provided at
the Municipal Center. The two-floor Supreme Court Law Library at the
Center maintains a thorough collection of State and Federal case reports
and commentaries, providing legal references to the bench, bar and
general public.
