Requesting Review by the Court
Anyone who wishes to request that the Court review a parking ticket must complete a
written application (available in Adobe Acrobat- Complete and Print) or by obtaining the
application form from the Oneonta City Chamberlain's Office, 252 Main Street,
Oneonta, NY 13820 or the Oneonta City Court, 79-81 Main Street, Oneonta, NY 13820.
The application must be accompanied by the original ticket. If you unable to locate the
original ticket, you can obtain a copy from the Oneonta City Chamberlain. The Court
will review your written application and make a determination within sixty (60) days.
If the ticket has been dismissed by the Court, you will receive written notice.
If the ticket has not been dismissed by the Court, you will have the option of
requesting a non-jury trial or changing your plea to guilty. Should you desire a non-jury
trial, you will receive notice from the court of the trial date; you must appear personally
for the trial. Should you wish to change your plea to guilty, the fine amount that is due
will be noted on the Court's review and you must make payment to the Oneonta City
Chamberlain's Office, 258 Main Street, PO Box 662, Oneonta, NY 13820. Payments
are NOT made payable to the Oneonta City Court.
