Parking Ticket Appeals

If you wish to contest a parking ticket, you may do so within 20 days of date of issuance of the ticket. You must complete an appeal form (ADOBE ACROBAT), which is also available from the Traffic Violations Bureau (address and hours of operation listed below). Once the appeal form is completed and filed with the Traffic Violations Bureau, your written appeal will be sent to the City Court Judge for consideration and you will be notified, by mail, of the decision of the Judge.

If you wish to appear before the Judge, you should complete the appeal form and appear at the Ithaca City Court with the completed form on any Thursdays at 1:30 p.m.

The Traffic Violations Bureau is open Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Checks and Money Orders should be made payable to the City of Ithaca.
