How do I pay a parking ticket?

You, or any authorized person may pay the fine personally Monday-Friday (except holidays) 8:00 am - 3:30 pm at the City of Corning Finance Office. A drop box at the Corning Police Station is always available or mail check or money order to:

Payment must be received within 14 calendar days of issuance.

How do I appeal a parking ticket?

If you want to appeal, appear at the Finance Office, City Hall, Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. within 14 days of issuance to file a letter of protest and schedule a hearing.

What happens if I fail to pay/answer a parking ticket?

If you fail to pay/answer a parking ticket within 14 calendar days of issuance, the fine will be doubled. Three or more unpaid parking tickets within an 18 month period could result in a scofflaw being placed on your vehicle registration. If you receive a scofflaw, you cannot register your vehicle until all tickets in your name are paid in full. Twenty or more unpaid parking tickets will result in a suspended registration. Payment for a scofflaw ticket or suspended registration must be cash or money order.

What else should I know about the City of Corning parking ordinances?

Business zone parking is limited to 2 hours per zone in the business district - 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Signs on light posts designate business zones.

No parking is allowed in the business district between 2:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Odd/Even parking:
Even side: 12:01 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday
& Sunday
Odd side: 12:01 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday

The odd/even sides of the street are determined by checking the house numbers on that street. The regulation is posted at the major entrances to the City of Corning.
