UNCONTESTED DIVORCES/ANNULMENTS:

All uncontested matrimonial actions will be considered on papers only. (Inquests are available if special circumstances warrant oral testimony.) After obtaining calendar number, file all required papers with the Supreme Court Calendar/Matrimonial Office (845-9301).
The list of required papers is available in the Calendar/Matrimonial Office. For a status check of a particular action, call the Calendar/Matrimonial Office first before calling the Referee.

APPEALS TO ERIE COUNTY COURT:

Effective April 22, 2002, civil and criminal appeals to Erie County Court will be subject to an individual assignment system. Accordingly, with respect to matters in which a Notice of Appeal is filed with the Court on or after that date, the Chief Clerk’s Office will randomly assign each such action to a Judge of the County Court. Inquiries relative to appeals taken prior to April 22, 2002 should be directed to the Court’s legal staff at 845-9328.
