Mission Statement

The Lockport Drug Treatment Court (LDTC) Program seeks to

diminish substance abuse, crime, and recidivism through intense

supervision, treatment, and judicial monitoring of Court

participants. This program will attempt to end the cycle of

addiction for each participant by providing a balance between

therapeutic intervention and judicial accountability. The focus will

be directed upon improving the personal and social aspects of each

participant through linkages to appropriate programs, including

substance abuse counseling, mental health counseling, educational

and vocational training, housing programs, and others. The primary

impact of the LDTC Program will be on participants becoming

productive members of the community in all aspects of their lives,

by teaching them the skills necessary to conquer their drug

dependency, and ultimately, bring an end to their criminal activity.
