Hon. Joanne M. Winslow, Associate Justice of the Appellate Division, Fourth Department, and a graduate of Albany Law School, was presented with the prestigious Kate Stoneman Award on Tuesday, March 27, for her longstanding commitment to seeking change and expanding opportunities for women in the legal profession through mentorship, outreach and education. The awards are given by Albany Law School in tribute to Kate Stoneman, the first woman admitted to practice law in New York State and first female graduate of Albany Law School.

Judge Winslow was elected a State Supreme Court Justice for the Seventh Judicial District in 2008 and appointed to the Appellate Division, Fourth Department, in May 2017. She previously served in the Monroe County District Attorney's Office, most recently as Bureau Chief for Major Felonies, and is the recipient of numerous honors for her work in public service and civic activities.
