    New York City Criminal Court
Court Dispute Referral Centers Espaņol
Helping To Solve Disputes For The City Of New York

What are the Court Dispute Referral Centers (CDRC's)?

The CDRC's help members of the general public who have a complaint against a person(s).

CDRC's are staffed by court and mediation personnel that have been trained to:

  • Evaluate the complaint, and
  • Provide an immediate and clear appraisal of the dispute, and
  • Suggest various courses of action, and
  • Recommend appropriate venues for the dispute

A complaint filed at a CDRC is different than a police complaint (UF61). It may result in:

  • A referral to another court, law enforcement agency or social service provider, or
  • A referral to a dispute resolution center for mediation.

Interpreters are available for a variety of languages.

There are no fees for services provided at the CDRC's.
