TRIAL PART RULES

If designated a trial part pursuant to the Housing Court Initiative, parties whose cases are assigned to the Part will be presumed ready for trial with all necessary witnesses and documents and must appear within 15 minutes after the court file is transferred to the Part . Once a trial has commenced it will continue until completion. If it is necessary to adjourn the matter for any reason, defaults or dismissals will be taken if a party has not appeared within 30 minutes of the scheduled time. Orders to Show Cause are returnable at 9:30 a.m. Defaults, dismissals and inquests on all other matters not scheduled for trial will be taken at 10:15 a.m.
