TRIAL PART RULES

This Part will serve as a Trial Part pursuant to the Housing Court Initiative. Parties assigned to this Part for trial are presumed ready for trial with all the necessary documents and witnesses available. There will be no roll calls or calendar calls. Parties must appear in the Part within 30 minutes of transfer by the expediter. Defaults and/or dismissals will be entered if any party fails to appear within 30 minutes after the Part receives the case for Trial. Matters that are not ready for trial will at the court's discretion be either dismissed or returned to the Resolution Part from which the matter was transferred. If a matter is settled pursuant to a stipulation prior the commencement of the trial, the matter shall be transferred back to the Resolution Part.
