Trial Part Rules

1-Case scheduled for 9:30 am will be dismissed or defaulted if parties and/or attorneys are not in the courtroom and ready to proceed at 10:30 am. Cases scheduled for 2:00 pm will be dismissed or defaulted by 3:00 pm. Cases scheduled for trial at any other hour will be dismissed or defaulted after one hour of scheduled time if parties and/or attorneys are not in the courtroom and ready to proceed.
2-All parties and their attorneys are required to appear in this part within thirty minutes of the proceeding’s referral from Part X. Dismissals or defaults on matters referred Part X will be taken thirty minutes after the file is received in this part.
3-All proceedings shall be conferenced by the Court between the parties and counsel before a trial will be conducted. If the parties are discussing settlement of the proceeding, they must appear before the Court and inform the Court of the status of the settlement discussions within thirty minutes.
4-All motions must be argued before the Court prior to being taken on submission.
5-All adjournments must be approved by the Court.
6-This is a trial ready part, all parties are expected to be ready for trial.
