RESOLUTION PART RULES

1. There is no roll call or calendar call.

2. Attorneys, parties, or service can check in with the Part Clerk in the Courtroom.

3. Where one side does not check in, defaults are granted as follows: 10:30 a.m. for 9:30 a.m. cases, 12:00 noon for 11:00a.m.cases, 3:00 p.m. for 2:00 p.m. cases.

4. Defaults result in dispositions which will vary depending on the nature of the case.

5. Requests for adjournments (except cases which are on the calendar for the first time) must be made by application to the Court. Service cannot make such an application if the case is not on for the first time. Stipulations for adjournments will not be accepted if the case is not on for the first time.

6. In most instances, when a respondent defaults on the first date for a holdover proceeding, the matter will be adjourned for an Inquest and the Clerk will send a postcard to the defaulting respondent.

7. On cases scheduled for Trial, parties and their attorneys should arrive promptly at 9:30 a.m. in the Part courtroom, to be assigned to Part X.

8. On cases scheduled for Inquest, parties and their attorneys should arrive promptly at 9:30a.m. in the Courtroom. If the respondent does not appear, the Inquest shall be conducted after 10:30a.m. (Default time).

9. All first time cases must be conferenced by the Court Attorneys assigned to the Part.

10. Repairs (or the lack of same) must be addressed in all nonpayment stipulations of settlement.

11. All nonpayment stipulations must include a rent breakdown

12. All motions must be orally argued.
