RESOLUTION PART RULES
HON. ULYSSES B. LEVERETT
1. There is no roll or calendar call for 9:30 am, 11:00 am, or 2:00pm. All parties or their attorneys must check in with the part clerk upon entering the courtroom. You must provide the clerk with your calendar number and advise the clerk if your case is scheduled for trial.
2. All requests for adjournments and discontinuances must be submitted to a court attorney for review or by application to the judge. Stipulations for adjournments will not be accepted unless a party or counsel is present in court.
3. All settlement stipulations where any party is not represented by counsel must be reviewed by a court attorney. Parties must remain in the courtroom or advise the clerk in which part they can be located. Failure to return to the court within a reasonable time may result in dismissal, default, or adjournment at the court's discretion.
4. Defaults will be taken at the following times: 9:30 am calendar at 11:00 am, 11:00 am calendar at 12:30 pm, and 2:00 pm calendar at 3:30 pm.
5. In nonpayment proceedings, all stipulations must contain an itemized rent/maintenance breakdown of arrears and a payment schedule, if applicable.
