TRIAL PART RULES
HON. ULYSSES B. LEVERETT
1. All cases marked ready for trial must be trial ready; all witnesses must be immediately available.
2. There is no roll or calendar call for 9:30 A.M., 11:00 A.M. or 2:00 P.M. cases. All parties or their attorneys are to check in with the part clerk upon entering the courtroom. You must provide the clerk with your calendar number and advise the clerk if your case is scheduled for trial.
3. All litigants will conference with the Court Attorney assigned to the part. If the Court Attorney is unable to resolve the matter, the Court will commence the hearing or trial immediately.
4. All settlement stipulations where any party is not represented by counsel must be reviewed by a court attorney. Parties must remain in the courtroom or advise the clerk in which part they can be located. Failure to return to the court within a reasonable time may result in dismissal, default or adjournment at the court's discretion.
5. Defaults will be taken at the following times: 9:30 A.M. calendar at 11:00 A.M., 11:00 A.M. calendar at 12:30 P.M. and 2:00 P.M. calendar at 3:30 P.M.
