Interviews with candidates for Central Staff clerkships are conducted from August through November of the year preceding the commencement of the clerkship. Clerkship offers are usually made by December 1.

Judges of the Court also employ personal law clerks. Each Judge's clerk works with the Judge in home chambers and attends Court sessions in Albany approximately 75 days per year. Each Judge hires his or her own clerks and sets his or her own deadlines and requirements for applications.
