National Mentoring Month is observed in the month of January. In January 2022, the Franklin H. Williams Judicial Commission hosted a virtual program, Mentoring Works. The program highlighted the success stories of panelists, former FHW mentees, who discussed their journeys to the bench and the importance of mentoring in ascending to the bench. The panelists provided strategies navigating both the electoral process and appointment process.

Hon. Joanne D. Quiñones, FHW Commissioner and Chair of the Judicial Mentor Program, moderated the event. She congratulated fourteen former FHW mentees of the Judicial Mentor Program who have recently become judges. The former mentees are as follows: Hon. Seth Steed, Hon. Phillip Dabney, Hon. Ramón E. Rivera, Hon. Rhonda Tomlinson, Hon. Germaine Auguste, Hon. Zoila Cassanova, Hon. Christopher Chin, Hon. Cassandra Johnson, Hon. Lisa Lewis, Hon. William Little, Hon. Inga O’Neale, Hon. Lillian Wan, Hon. Giyang An, and Hon. Vidya Pappachan. Congratulations to these former mentees!
