The Advisory Committee on Judicial Ethics, at its meeting of December 5, 1989, considered your inquiry (89-146), dated December 1, 1989, concerning the propriety of hosting a regularly scheduled television show about the law, including court procedures.
You may host the television show, provided that you do not comment on any matters pending in any court, do not indicate any predisposition with respect to particular cases, and conduct the program in a dignified manner, and observe the other restrictions and conditions stated in our Opinion 88-106.
Very truly yours,
Samuel J. Silverman,
