You have asked us to review a detailed comprehensive contract submitted to you by the publisher of a book on criminal procedure of which you are the co-author, for the purpose of determining whether any of its provisions conflict with ethical rules.
The Committee is not in a position to undertake a comprehensive review of the entire contract. If, however, you have questions concerning specific provisions of the contract we will certainly consider them. In the meantime, we are enclosing several previous opinions, which you may find helpful.
Very truly yours,
Samuel J. Silverman
