George Kvocka started his career in the Unified Court System in January 1991 as a UCO in the New York City Family Court. In September 1998, he was promoted to Senior Court Officer and was assigned to the courthouse in Long Island City, which is part of the Queens Supreme Court. His current duties include working at the magnetometer post dedicated to the screening of jury panels where he gives 100 percent to his duties and is the ultimate professional. He is caring and compassionate and is always willing to go the extra mile to help people. His vibrant personality puts many an anxious juror at ease. He explains what is required of them, where they have to go, and what to do when they complete their service. He makes their service memorable. He is like the mayor of Long Island City – people who have served as jurors in this court may not remember what case they were on, or what the charges were, or who the Judge was, yet they remember George!
