Al Koerber commenced his career in the Unified Court System in 1990 as a court
officer in the Family Court; in December 1993, he was promoted to Senior Court
Officer in the Supreme Court, New York County. Throughout his career in our court,
Al has been assigned to our 80 Centre Street facility, first reporting to Capt.
Tom Apicella was very involved with the court employees Art Show and encouraged
Al to operate our then rudimentary sound system for our Annual Art Show ceremony.
Soon Al became a constant at all of our many rotunda programs as he worked diligently
to improve sound quality in our "acoustically challenged rotunda". With increasingly
sophisticated sound systems, all vetted and approved by Al, countless audiences
have been the beneficiaries. Al presently reports to our 80 Centre Street command
which is now under the direction of Capt. Frank Spagnolo, Lt. Allen Lansky and
Sgt. John Sbarbaro. |
