|A Public Access Law Library of the NYS Unified Court System, 5th Judicial District, the Oswego Supreme Court Library is a member of the Association of Law Libraries of Upstate New York (ALLUNY), the NYS Unified Court Law Libraries Association (ProSe), and participates in the Northern NY Library Network (NNYLN).
Location & Directions:
The Library is located in the Oswego County Courthouse. To reach Oswego from the Thruway, take Route 81 North at Exit 36 to Exit 29N (Route 481), or take Route 481 North from Thruway exit 34A. Follow Route 481 North to Oswego and turn right onto East Oneida Street.
The Oswego County Supreme Court Law Library was established in 1954, renovated in 1990, and is located in the basement of the Oswego County Courthouse, which was erected in 1859 and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
Collections & Services:
In addition to Federal and State print materials, the Library has an extensive collection of general practice treatises and microfiche copies of Appellate Division briefs and records dating from 1996 (with the exception of the First and Second Departments 2004-2005 records and briefs).
Law library services include legal research assistance, basic training in the use of online legal research tools such as Lexis.com, Loislaw.com, and Westlaw.com; interlibrary loan and circulation. Most law library books, tapes, videos, and CD-ROM's may be borrowed. Document delivery is available.

Oswego County Courthouse Oswego County Courts Building using the Law Library to research the areas and topics necessary to answer your questions, and to refer you to other organizations when appropriate.
Legal reference service is provided to judges, attorneys, and the general public. The Library provides public access to Lexis, Loislaw and Westlaw for online legal research and is WiFi accessible.
The Law Library has access to the Interlibrary Loan System to obtain materials not available locally from other libraries.
