Established in 1984 (L.1984, Ch.249), the Joseph P. Molinari Supreme Court Library, Otsego County, bears the name of one of the area’s most distinguished jurists. Located in the beautifully restored 19th century Otsego County Courthouse complete with tiled floors, reproduction chandeliers, oak barrister bookcases, and stenciled walls, the library is open and staffed Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.. The basic collection contains New York and federal statutes, New York case law, as well as a variety of general practice treatises. A coin-operated photocopier is available and interlibrary loan service is provided. There is a public access workstation available for accessing online legal resources. The library staff will provide instructional materials and/or basic instruction in using these materials but may not conduct research for the user.
