The library program and all the departments
and agencies of the Supreme Court, Queens County are administered
by the Office of the Administrative Judge, 11th Judicial District.
Daily court operations are managed by the Office of the Chief
Clerk.
The Supreme Court, Queens serving a diverse population
of over two million people, is a trial court of original
jurisdiction and, as such, is responsible for the trial and/or
disposition of all major civil matters and all felony cases
arising in Queens County.
58 Justices and Judges, five JHOs and one Court Attorney Referee
are assigned to the court and are supported by a schedule of
more than six hundred nonjudicial employees.
The Court operates 61 parts (39 criminal, 22 civil)
in four facilities. The facilities are at the following locations:
General Courthouse at 88-11 Sutphin Blvd, Jamaica, New York;
the Queens County Criminal Courts Building at 125-01 Queens
Blvd, Kew Gardens; the Criminal Courts Annex at 125-01 Queens
Blvd, Kew Gardens and the Supreme Court Courthouse at 25-10
Court Square, Long Island City.
