Michael S. Moran is the Deputy State Reporter at the New York State Law Reporting Bureau where he has served since 1979. In addition to his editorial and supervisory responsibilities, Mr. Moran oversees the office’s technology operations. He has designed a number of large Web sites including the Historical Society of the Courts of the State of New York's Web site and the Law Reporting Bureau's site. Mr. Moran is also a software programmer and has developed programs that have been copyrighted by the New York Office of Court Administration.

Mr. Moran is a member of the New York State Bar and the Association of Reporters of Judicial Decisions. He has served on the New York State Bar Association's Committee on Attorneys in Public Service and its Technology Subcommittee. He has also been published in the Bar Association’s Government Law and Policy Journal.

Mr. Moran is a graduate of Colgate University and Albany Law School. He and his wife, Rebecca, live in Troy, New York and are parents of two adult daughters, Allison and Kelly.
