DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION

Motion by the respondent for leave to appeal to the Court of Appeals with respect to the reciprocal discipline portion of an opinion and order of this court dated May 2, 2005. In the opinion and order dated May 2, 2005, the respondent was suspended from the practice of law for a period of one year, commencing June 2, 2005, based upon his suspension in the State of Connecticut for six months, by order of the Superior Court, Stamford/Norwalk Judicial District at Stamford, dated August 2, 2000, as well as a disciplinary proceeding predicated upon charges that he failed to properly re-register as an attorney with the Office of Court Administration and that he failed to comply with a lawful directive of the Grievance Committee. The respondent was admitted to the Bar at a term of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court in the Second Judicial Department on June 25, 1969.

Upon the papers submitted in support of the motion and the papers submitted in opposition thereto, it is

ORDERED that the motion is denied.
