In the Matter of Prabhjot Kaur, respondent,

v Ravinder Pal Singh, appellant.

(Docket No. F-12421-05)

DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION

Appeal by Ravinder Pal Singh from an order of the Family Court, Queens County, dated May 8, 2006. By order dated October 20, 2006, the assigned counsel for the appellant was relieved, and the parties or their attorneys were directed to show cause before this court why an order should or should not be made and entered dismissing the appeal in the above-entitled proceeding on the ground that the appellant has absconded and is no longer available to obey the mandate of the court (see Matter of Gerald G.G., 46NY2d1036).

Now, on the court's own motion, and the papers filed in response to the order to show cause, it is

ORDERED that the motion is granted; and it is further,

ORDERED that the appeal is dismissed, without costs or disbursements (see Matter of Gerald G.G., 46 NY2d 1036).

MILLER, J.P., CRANE, LIFSON and DILLON, JJ., concur.
