| DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION |
Motion by counsel for the appellant to be relieved of an assignment to represent the appellant on an appeal from an order of the Family Court, Nassau County, dated June 20, 2006, in effect, on the ground that the appellant has abandoned the appeal. By order to show cause dated December 19, 2006, the appellant and the other parties to this appeal were directed to show cause before this court why an order should or should not be made and entered dismissing the appeal as abandoned and the motion by assigned counsel was held in abeyance in the interim.
Upon the order to show cause and the papers filed in response thereto, and upon the papers filed in support of the motion and no papers having been filed in opposition or relation to the motion, it is
ORDERED that the motion is granted and assigned counsel is relieved; and it is further,
ORDERED that the order to show cause to dismiss the appeal is granted, and the appeal is dismissed, without costs or disbursements.
