DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION

Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Queens County, rendered June 10, 2005. By letter dated February 12, 2007, the appellant's attorneys advised the court that they had been discharged.

Now, on the court's own motion, it is

ORDERED that on or before March 23, 2007, the appellant shall either (1) retain new counsel and advise the court of the name of his new counsel, (2) move for leave to prosecute the appeal as a poor person and for the assignment of counsel, or (3) advise the court that he intends to proceed pro se; and it is further,

ORDERED that the Clerk of this court, or his designee, shall serve a copy of this decision and order on motion on the appellant and the respondent by regular mail.
