| DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION ON REINSTATEMENT |
Motion by the respondent, Denis Joseph McClure, admitted as Denis J. McClure, for reinstatement as an attorney and counselor-at-law. The respondent was admitted to the Bar at a term of the Appellate division of the Supreme Court in the Second Judicial Department on March 17, 1965. By decision and order on motion of this court dated December 11, 1989, the respondent was suspended from the practice of law pending the outcome of a disciplinary proceeding. By further order of this court dated November 1, 1990, the issues were referred to a Special Referee to hear and report. By opinion and order dated May 31, 1991, the respondent's resignation was accepted and he was immediately disbarred and his name stricken from the roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law. By decision and order of this court dated March 8, 2005, the respondent's motion for reinstatement was held in abeyance and the matter referred to the Committee on Character and Fitness to investigate and report on the respondent's current fitness to be an attorney.
Upon the report of the Committee on Character and Fitness and the exhibits annexed thereto, it is
ORDERED that the motion is granted; and it is further,
ORDERED that, effective immediately, the respondent Denis Joseph McClure, admitted as Denis J. McClure, is reinstated as an attorney and counselor-at-law and the Clerk of the Court is directed to restore the name of Denis J. McClure, to the roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law.
