DECISION
Motion by the People returnable on November 30, 2007 and motion by defendant returnable on October 26, 2007 are, on the court's own motion, consolidated for purposes of disposition.
Motion by the People for an enlargement of time to submit a respondent's brief is granted, and said brief shall be served and filed by the People within 21 days of the date of the order hereon.
Motion by defendant seeking, in essence, leave to submit a reply brief (denominated a motion seeking "an order granting instant submittal of the exhibited supplemental brief") is granted to the extent that a reply brief may, if defendant be so inclined, be served and filed within 14 days of the date that the respondent's brief is due to be filed pursuant to this order.
