| DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION |
Motion by the appellants to stay enforcement of an order of the Supreme Court, Kings County, dated August 28, 2007, and for a preference in the calendaring of the appeal. Application by the respondent Vera Institute of Justice to enlarge the time to serve and file a brief.
Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and the papers filed in opposition thereto, and upon the application, it is
ORDERED that the branch of the motion which is to stay enforcement of the order dated August 28, 2007, is denied; and it is further,
ORDERED that the branch of the motion which is for a preference in the calendaring of the appeal is granted and the appeal will be calendared expeditiously after all the briefs have been filed; and it is further,
ORDERED that the application is granted and the time of the respondent Vera Institute of Justice to serve and file a brief is enlarged until December 8, 2008, and the brief must be served and filed on or before that date.
