DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION

Motion by Mental Hygiene Legal Service for leave to file an amicus curiae brief on an appeal from an order of the Supreme Court, Queens County, entered May 8, 2008, and for permission to participate in oral argument.

Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and the papers filed in relation thereto, it is

ORDERED that the motion is granted; and it is further,

ORDERED that the amicus curiae brief must be served on the parties, and nine copies filed in this court on or before December 5, 2008; and it is further,

ORDERED that the amicus curiae shall be permitted to participate in oral argument; and it is further,

ORDERED that the appellant, if she be so advised, may file a reply brief to the amicus curiae brief within 10 days after service of the amicus curiae brief.
