ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE

Motion by David I. Bliven, counsel for the appellant Osma P., on appeals from three orders of the Family Court, Queens County, all dated July 9, 2008, to be relieved from representing Osma P., for the assignment of counsel to represent Osma P. on the appeals, and for poor person relief for Osma P.

Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and the papers filed in opposition thereto, it is

ORDERED that Osma P. and the parties or their attorneys are directed to show cause before this court why an order should or should not be made and entered dismissing the appeals in the above-entitled proceeding as abandoned, by filing an affirmation or affidavit on that issue in the office of the Clerk of this court and serving one copy of the same on each other on or before February 23, 2009, and the motion is held in abeyance in the interim; and it is further,

ORDERED that the Clerk of this court, or his designee, is directed to serve a copy of this order to show cause upon Osma P. and the parties or their attorneys by regular mail.
