DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION

Motion by David I. Bliven, counsel for the appellant Osma P., on appeals from three orders of the Family Court, Queens County, all dated July 9, 2008, to be relieved from representing Osma P., for the assignment of counsel to represent Osma P. on the appeals, and for poor person relief for Osma P. By order to show cause dated January 28, 2009, Osma P. and the parties or their attorneys were directed to show cause before this court why an order should or should not be made and entered dismissing the appeals in the above-entitled proceeding as abandoned, and the motion was held in abeyance in the interim

Upon the order to show cause and the papers filed in response thereto, and upon the papers filed in support of the motion by assigned counsel for the appellant Osma P., inter alia, to be relieved and the papers filed in opposition thereto, it is

ORDERED that the branch of the motion which is to dismiss the appeal by Osma P. is granted, and the appeal by Osma P. is dismissed, without costs or disbursements; and it is further,

ORDERED that the branch of the motion which is to dismiss the appeal by Kwame M. is denied; and it is further,

ORDERED that the branch of the motion by assigned counsel for the appellant Osma P. to be relieved is granted; and it is further,

ORDERED that the motion by assigned counsel for the appellant Osma P. is otherwise denied as academic.
