DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION

Motion by Eduardo Blanco for the assignment of counsel to respond to an appeal by the People from an order of the County Court, Orange County, dated November 18, 2008, and for poor person relief.

Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and the papers filed in relation thereto, it is

ORDERED that the motion is granted; and it is further,

ORDERED that counsel is directed to turn over all papers in the action to new counsel herein assigned; and it is further,

ORDERED that pursuant to County Law § 722 the following named attorney is assigned as counsel for Eduardo Blanco to respond to the appeal from said order:

New City, New York 10956

and it is further,

ORDERED that the respondent Eduardo Blanco is directed to serve one copy of his brief and to file nine copies thereof; and it is further,

ORDERED that Eduardo Blanco's time to serve and file a brief is enlarged until June 1, 2009, and the respondent Eduardo Blanco's brief must be served and filed on or before that date.
