| DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION FOR REINSTATEMENT |
Motion by the respondent for reinstatement to the Bar as an attorney and counselor-at-law. The respondent was admitted to the Bar at a term of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court in the Second Judicial Department on September 12, 1984. By opinion and order dated February 28, 2000, the respondent's resignation pursuant to 22 NYCRR 691.9 was accepted and he was disbarred, effective immediately. By decision and order dated June 10, 2008, the respondent's motion for reinstatement was held in abeyance and the matter was referred to the Committee on Character and Fitness to investigate and report on the respondent's current fitness to be an attorney, including but not limited to, the respondent's late filing of his affidavit of compliance and the 20 traffic violations he incurred during the period 2005 through 2007.
Upon the papers submitted to the court, it is
ORDERED that the motion is denied.
We find that the respondent does not demonstrate the requisite fitness and character to practice law.
