| MATTER OF JASON M. LANDO, PETITIONER-RESPONDENT, V CHRISTIE L.
COOKHOUSE, RESPONDENT-APPELLANT. |
Petitioner-respondent having applied for permission to respond as a poor person on the appeal taken herein from an order of the Family Court, Oswego County, entered in the Office of the Clerk of said Court on September 29, 2009, and for assignment of counsel,
Now, upon reading and filing the certification of Courtney S. Radick, Esq., dated October 30, 2009, and due deliberation having been had thereon,
It is hereby ORDERED that the application insofar as it requests assignment of counsel is denied on the ground that such relief is not authorized for a party seeking the suspension of a child support obligation (see Family Court Act §§ 262, 1120 [a]), and
It is further ORDERED that the application insofar as it requests an order permitting petitioner to respond to the appeal as a poor person is denied on the ground that petitioner would receive no effective relief from such an order.
