DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION

Motion by the Grievance Committee for the Ninth Judicial District for an order, pursuant to 22 NYCRR 691.10(k), for the appointment of an attorney to take custody if and inventory the files of F. Daniel Blizard, a disbarred attorney, and to take such action as deemed necessary to protect the interests of his former clients. By opinion and order of this court dated July 28, 2009, Mr. Blizard was disbarred and his name was struck from the roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law upon the acceptance of his resignation. Mr. Blizard was admitted to the bar at a term of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court in the Second Judicial Department on January 18, 1984.

Upon the papers submitted in support of the motion and no papers having been filed in opposition or in relation thereto, it is

ORDERED that the motion is granted; and it is further,

ORDERED that Robert E. Martinez, Esq., 81 Main Street, Suite 300, White Plains, N.Y. 10601, is appointed as inventory attorney, pursuant to 22 NYCRR 691.10(g) to (1) take custody of and inventory F. Daniel Blizard's files and return them to his clients, (2) take custody of and safeguard the records of any business, escrow, trust, or special account of F. Daniel Blizard, and (3) take such further action as is deemed proper and advisable to protect the interests of F. Daniel Blizard's clients in discharging the aforesaid duties.
