DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION FOR REINSTATEMENT

Motion by the respondent for reinstatement as an attorney and counselor-at-law. The respondent was admitted to the Bar at a term of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court in the First Judicial Department on April 11, 1968, under the name Jeffrey Joseph Weinsten. By decision and order on motion of this court dated May 6, 1999, the respondent was suspended from the practice of law upon his conviction of a serious crime, and the matter was referred to the Honorable Jerome M. Becker, as Special Referee to hear and report. By opinion and order of this court dated December 11, 2000, the respondent was disbarred, effectively immediately, based upon three charges of professional misconduct. By decision and order on motion of this Court dated June 10, 2008, as amended June 20, 2008, the respondent's first motion submitted for reinstatement was denied.

Upon the papers in support of the motion and the papers submitted in relation thereto, it is

ORDERED that the motion is denied.

We find that the respondent does not demonstrate the requisite fitness and character to practice law.
